2011 AIR FORCE GLOBAL STRIKE COMMAND

TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM

held in conjunction with

The Cyber Innovation Center and Air Force Global Strike Command will co-host the 2nd Annual Air Force Global Strike Command Technology and Innovation Symposium at the Shreveport Convention Center in Bossier City – Shreveport, Louisiana, on November 7-9, 2011. The Symposium is being held in conjunction with the Air Force Global Strike Command’s Global Strike Challenge competition and is an opportunity to develop relationships and exchange ideas with Industry and Academia that support the Air Force’s newest Command.

The theme of this year’s Symposium is ”Strategic Deterrence – Today and Tomorrow” and the focus areas for the Symposium will be as follows.

Impact of “small wars,” globalization and rise of non-state actors on national defense policy
The TRIAD of the future and the implication of fewer weapons
Our country’s enduring need for “peace through strength”
The importance of conventional deterrence in a time of asymmetric conflict
Need for clear communication of national will as an enabler of modern conventional deterrence
Need for a family of Long Range Strike systems that support Conventional and Nuclear missions
Full Spectrum of Conflict: capabilities and requirements

Early bird on-line registration for the Symposium begins Wednesday, June 1, 2011, and continues through Monday, October 24, 2011. All registration fees will increase by $25 beginning Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

The on-line registration site will be unavailable beginning October 31.

On-site registration will begin Monday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m.
