Our government attendees at the Cyber Innovation Center Warfighter-Industry Collaboration Enterprise (WIC-E) conference in Bossier City were astounded by the creative contributions of all the participants at this event, particularly the innovative ideas the group offered to utilize existing technology more productively. Since we last met, we received 17 challenges from participating government agencies and received over 100 responses which we forwarded to the requesting agencies. On behalf of our government partners, thank you for your contributions.
Each of the participating agencies has the contact information of the WIC-E Conference participants; we anticipate that our government partners will offer new challenges in the coming months and we hope that some will be of interest to you. The Air Force's Collaboration among Public and Private Sectors (CAPPS) initiative has garnered support not only in the DoD, but in several other government agencies as well. We are confident that more government agencies will join as they see the potential benefits of this approach for both technology consumers and providers.
We want to alert you to another workshop, which will be held at the Bossier Civic Center in Bossier City on the 7th and 8th of September. The event will begin in the afternoon on the 7th to preclude travel on Labor Day, and will conclude on the 8th in time to catch flights back home. The fee for this workshop is $125 and the dress is business casual. We will use this workshop as a prelude to a series of government exercises where we expect to receive new technology challenges in the areas of cyber defense, mission assurance with degraded systems and networks, knowledge management, and net-enabled operations. We need your ideas, and we want to provide you insights into the broad range of needs our government agencies face today and anticipate in the future.
Registration for WIC-E II will begin on June 18, 2010. Please click the Attendee Registration button to the right to register.
