Keeper Security publishes back-to-school cybersecurity guide for schools and families
Tech EDT: Keeper Security has launched a new cybersecurity guide aimed at schools, parents, and students, addressing the increasing risks faced by the education sector. The white paper, titled “Cybersecurity in Schools 2025: A Family and Educator Guide to Safer Digital Learning,” highlights practical steps to strengthen digital safety.
The launch comes amid a surge in cyberattacks targeting educational institutions worldwide. According to Comparitech, ransomware incidents involving schools, colleges, and universities increased by 23% year on year in the first half of 2025. Despite this, research conducted by Keeper shows that only 14% of schools currently require cybersecurity training, leaving many institutions vulnerable.
