Strategies: 5 leadership lessons learned while building the cybersecurity workforce

Biz Women: When I began my career as a teacher in Louisiana, I never imagined I would one day help build the nation’s cybersecurity workforce. Today, as director of CYBER.ORG, I work with educators and leaders across government and industry to connect classrooms to careers. What started as a local effort now reaches students in all 50 states and supports federal goals to close the nation’s cybersecurity workforce gap. 

Along the way, I have learned lessons about leadership that I believe are especially important for women who want to succeed in tech, education, or any field. Here are five that continue to guide me.
