A $166.9 million contract awarded to CSRA by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) will create about 35-40 new jobs in the near future at the company’s Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City and many more jobs will follow.

Last year, the Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) and Louisiana Tech University capitalized on their seven-year partnership to create the Louisiana Tech Research Institute (LTRI). The LTRI is a non-profit 501c3 corporation located at the National Cyber Research Park (NCRP) and currently operating out of the CIC.

As the oil and gas industry took a huge hit last year and the economy in Louisiana stutters, slowing tax collections and revenue income, creating massive budget holes, the need for a new industry is never more apparent than right now.

When Bossier Schools begins the 2016-17 academic year, it will be all systems go as the district launches Project SOAR (Supporting Opportunities for Achievement and Resilience), a five-year academic and mental health initiative that will benefit more than 6,700 students attending 11 schools across the district.
